Hi All,

Has anyone taken apart a Stannah stairlift ? Specifically the round rail?

It *looks* like its pinned together with roll pins.

Can these be drifted out or must they be drilled?

Cheers,

Wilson.

No, sorry, I don’t know - we had someone come to remove my parents’ stairlift when the house was empty. I don’t think we got anything for it, but the removal was foc and done in about ten minutes I recall!

So if you just want it removed, there is this option.

Cheers

How about putting it on eBay.....

Buyer to remove?

Just a thought?

Or put it on somewhere like a disability or money saving forum?

I dismantled one, it wasn't a stannah, but be aware that the chair is very heavy indeed. I took out the batteries and all the extraneous stuff I could, and it still took two of us to move it.

Yeah, I'm liking the idea of stripping it for interesting parts.

Thanks for the heads up vis-a-vis weight.
