fooking hell, thats unbelievable - I have an early edition bedrock that was fetching stupid money on ebay but nothing like this. maybe i should get it on there!!

IIRC, the record for a Norris was set at a Tony Murland auction in 2006 - it was a one-off bizarre low angle adjustable mouth rebate thingy, unused wit spare blade.
It made the local news and everything. 17,000 pounds-ish.

It'll go for well over £5 grand....just watch.....bound for the USA would be my guess....judging by the comment.

It is a lovely looking plane....the standard lever cap looks out of place though..I would have left that plain with a little "Stanley" on the tote plate....but there ya go...

The LN is rather nice Paul....and at about £270 these days (without the sock or screwdriver)....a bargain!
