Thats a multiple purpose tool you have there. It can also be used to gain entry through windows (of houses and cars).......

Not only that it is an item, beautifully crafted by nature into its present organic form.

I think I need to buy one now!

the guy who buys that will have to be stoned out of his head.

works as a weather station too:
rock wet : rain
rock dry : rain on way
rock swinging: windy
rock gone: hurricane.

That stone has character that I doubt you'd find anywhere!

I'd pay at least £50. They must have seen me coming

Is it worth the price of the paper sticker?
Undoubtedly someone will bid on it just for a laugh, and guess who laughs last.

Here's the Ben Nevis Inn weather station as a guide:

In 1967 my mother and I went to EXPO67 in Montreal . It was a great experience for me as the Russian pavilion was chock full of "we got this space achievement first" displays , the Australians imported a herd of kangaroos and there were numerous entertainments at other pavilions. But to this day my mind goes first to a guy with great chutzpah and a portable canning set-up . He was canning and selling ... wait for it ... genuine EXPO67 air . Hard to fault him on advertising either as he was canning it on the spot , you got just exactly what was on the label . He was having a hard time just keeping up with the demand as well , loved it!

You know how you see the word vintage everywhere now? Vintage telephone. Vintage clothes. Vintage tools.
That's probably one of them vintage rocks. That's why it's in an auction I should think.
It's fairly common knowledge that production values in rocks fell after about the Jurassic. Accountants started taking over and the true craftsmen lost out. Production of rocks slowly became mechanised. By the neolithic, production had move Eastward and these rocks are pale shadows of earlier rocks when rock makers with proper apprenticeships and vast families of children with rickets would loving turn out well crafted rocks for the love of the craft and 3 shillings every 9 years. Those were the days.
None of your modern rock rubbish.
Just the other day I was at one of the big Diy sheds and they were selling these 'literally' by the bag full.
It's a crying shame.

Google Whittaker & Biggs and check out their website.

I sense a lot of p*ss taking on the aforementioned lot.

It's out of order in my opinion.

They seem to specialise in door stops. Presumably keeping your door open in Cheshire is a problem. They can solve it.

Whittaker & Biggs have got some real quality stuff!

Estate agents?

Yep, and auctioneers. I love looking at these types of actual bona fide auction sites. The stuff they sell is just mind boggling

Ha! You may all scoff, but a feller in Mexico became a millionaire back in 1975 selling 'Pet Rocks'. They came in a box with breathing holes, and a bed of straw.

Weird old world, innit?

I remember those - wan't allowed to have one - a real drag.....

Still got mine, I change the straw every week and have never received so much as a nod let alone a thank you.
