As a choirboy I was relieved from singing duties to manually pump the organ during a power failure.

Although Bach's T & F is very good, I prefer Widor's toccata

Just when you think the note can't get any lower, down it goes again & if the organ & acoustics are right, the pews should rattle.
 
A late friend told me he was walking down the street one day during WW2 (he came from Lancashire, so it was up that way somewhere) when he heard an organ playing Widor's Toccata. He rounded the corner to see the church with its roof blown off - the organist was still playing.
 
I was very impressed with this beast at Hallsgrimmkirkja in Reykjavik. Unfortunately I missed a recital by one day.

Strange Bod that I am, I used to quite enjoy listening to Nigel Ogden's "The organist entertains" on Radio 2, every Friday night as I was delivering curries for my mate's restaurant in Billericay.
The enthusiasm and knowledge the chap had was amazing!
