How do I make this spring-clip thingy?

I need one of these 'clip spring things' for an adjustable brace.

Can you buy generic ones that I might be able to cut down and fudge? Do they have a name?

If not, what would I make one out of?

Any ideas?

Don't know what they are called or where to get one but maybe could be fashioned from an old clock spring.

Or a bit of old bandsaw blade?

I did think of a band saw blade but went for the clock spring as that will already be formed into a curve.

Some wiper blades have spring steel running along the length which would be perfect for this.

I would agree with petronicus. Just find your local watchmaker/clock repairer. A section of an old mainspring will be perfect.

How would I go about making the small button? It's 5mm by only 2mm high.

Can you get rivets that project by only that much?
