Home Heat plus central heating oil

My local oil supplier are touting this *enhanced* home heating oil claiming it provides:

• 
  enhanced fragrance to reduce odours
  prevents sludge build-up
  imrpoves burner performance
  protects the fuel system and keeps it clean
  reduces risk of boiler breakdown
  

Worth it or a waste of time? I am assuming that it is more expensive ...cynic that I am!

I guess it all depends if the improvements are worth the cost

Like home solar panels ........ yes cheaper electric but it'll take 20 years for them to pay for themselves

I'd be cynical unless there proof of long term cost benefits

Yes, IIRC the ordinary stuff used to be good for cleaning brushes, excellant for removing sticky tape gunge, and wasn't half bad at keeping rust off tools, so it had it's uses
