Hoisted on my own petard

I have always banged on about not liking copying and now I have been asked to make a couple of dozen hairsticks, a dozen spindles for someone who makes ceramic drop spindle weights and a couple of sets of crochet hooks.

My main gripe is that I can't work out how to leave holes in them or incorporate the bark as they are all for people who need smooth finishes or want to decorate them themselves.


Perhaps this'll work. I hate making rustic things with loads of worm holes and rotten wood and bits of bark and lichen on them. :lol:
