Hobbies A1 setup help

Evening all. I've got an old Hobbies A1 that was rusted, broken and unloved in the shed. I've stripped it down to nuts and bolts, cleaned, sanded rust, painted, greased and reassembled. Looks great but there's something wrong with the setup. The blade clip on the bottom arm is catching the table at the top of the stroke. I dont think there's enough movement up and down either. Can anyone give me some pointers as to how to set it up properly please?

Here's a restored A1 on ebay with good photos, maybe you can get some comparison to ensure it's assemble right, that's assuming the linked here is also right

Pictures would be helpful. It sounds like the connecting rod from the eccentric to bottom arm is too long. The stroke is determined by the offset of the eccentric wheel, I wouldn't have thought the stroke would be more than an inch.

Can you post some pictures? Can you move it to the point where the clip is hitting the table or even a little video of it in action?

Thanks again for the replies. I'll have a look at those videos over lunch.

I compared the setup to the pictures and instruction manual and everything seemed as it should. By drilling a new hole in the follower arm about 15mm away from the original, the arms sit lower, move better and no longer contact the table.

I even managed to get a test cut in a piece of ply........before the belt broke. Not really a surprise considering age and poor condition. I've got a new one on order and will put some pictures up once it's running again.

I'm really pleased with the result. I've tried to clean it all up but keep some patina and character.

Turns out I had the bottom blade holder on the wrong side of the arm.
It cuts well, although not particularly quiet due to play between the large pulley and its spindle.
