Just joined from Lincoln (UK). I am a trained cabinetmaker (ages ago) and have rediscovered woodworking in my own place after a long time teaching conservation and restoration - not only of furniture and wooden objects. Am interested in historic making techniques and hand tools.

Hi welcome, I like to use old school methods of doing a job. I do use hand tools alongside my more modern “gadgets”. I can cut a half lap joint with a mallet, chisel, gauge and tenon saw. Other days I use the router, tenon saw pencil and digital calliper . I look for old tools that I can restore at car boot sales
