how do I say it without causing offence :?

got a customer who purchased two items from an ebay style site and I didn't get paid. Then purchased same item from my website and paid via paypal only for me to get a charge back about a week later. Then emailed "wheres my item bla, bla, bla". Now just purchased again, same item and paid via paypal (hammer)

I'm not sending anything out so have to refund but can't just refund and not say anything. I have to email and at least say heres you money back because.....

Or send it tracked and to be signed for, if you can be bothered.

done it, just have to wait and see if I have offended.

jacob, wouldn't make the slightest difference is it was signed for or not. If the customers bank does a chargeback then I lose out.

Thanks for the heads up Roger had a quick look, most of the stuff I know about but there are a few points I didn't. One thing did jump at me was this and it's bang right
"But you will appreciate that disputing even a 5.00 reversal can effectively cost you hours of effort, phone calls and other costs. "

I'm luckly as I don't get many chargebacks at all but the odd ones I do get you have to ask your self it is worth the time and effort to try and fight your corner. This customer I have posted about is trying it on and I have proberbly saved a boat load of time by refunding at this stage.

1. Because your recent failed order history does not meet the required standard expected and has thus classified you as a complete ****.

EDIT... the bad word filter has kicked in .. I didn't type pineapple, but somehow it kinda works as well :D
