This is a piece of copper earthing braid pulled over the brass tube and cast in cold cast clear resin. I think it has turned out well for a first attempt, what do you think ??

Excellent Frank,

What a clever idea. Particularly for your first attempt. =D> =D> =D>

(P.s. I hope that doesn't sound patronizing, it certainly isn't meant to.)

super! its like a copper 'carbon fibre' !
I hope you dont mind but i may pinch that idea. Ive had some resin for a while now, ready for casting my own, and apart from printed pics (like johns lady golfer one) have not found anything interesting to cast yet. until now :)

That is fantastic, can you let us in on the secret as to the type of resin you used? Used to make loads of boats out of resin, but never made a resin blank yet but eager to give it a go.

Neil, I used the water clear resin from C F S. It`s very easy to use. The site has a lot of info on using it. So, get casting !!

like the thinking, and the presentation.

looks well on that pen too - what is the pen kit?
