I have a future project in mind ... Only at the thinking stage so far....

I need to use this fixing method. Have figured out that it's a double ended threaded stud and i think t nut...
I've Googled till my head hurts (not that it takes long... Not much good at googlin) can't seem to find a UK place to get them?

Any help would be great!!

Hi Melinda,
How about - http://www.wdsltd.co.uk/products/St...ews-and-Studs/WDS-409-Stud-Rolled-Thread-656/ smallest size is M6...

They don't look like they have a screwdriver slot in the end, and are hardened so probably not possible to hacksaw one in, however they are so hard you could use mole-grips or similar to grip and hence tighten into the t-nut without damaging the threads.
There are lots of other suppliers for these, mainly motor trade related since they are used for engine block to cylinder head fixing!

Or possibly http://www.jandsfasteners.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=10293473

Cheers

hi melinda
the t nuts are available from axminster or off the bay ,the studs should be also ,they may not have the slotted end but just put 2 nuts on the end and lock them up to tighten in place.if you go to a site called nuts, bolts and things, and put stud in the search bar they have a variety of thread size and lengths, they may also have the t nuts ,will look and see and try and post a link,
hth dave

just looked they sell the tee nuts also

Where did you get the pic from? It may help with a search or is it your own? If so where did you get the item from?
