Hello. I hope I am in the right section for this. My name is Ted and I am a retired woodworking machinery engineer. I started my working life as apprentice joiner. In time I taught wood machining then I moved into installing and servicing machinery before I retired a few years back. I now renovate old machinery as a hobby hence the name. I also do a few bits of woodwork around the house. I have been reading posts here on a friends computer for the last couple of years and today he has just come down to set up a PC for me so I decided to go for it and join up properly rather than continue lurking. I hope that maybe some of my knowledge from fixing machines over the years might come in handy

Ted

Ted - welcome to the forum... please, please don't ever contact Scrit and do a Sunday machinery quiz together  :D - Rob

Hello Ted, You are very welcome. It is always a pleasure to talk to new folk with a common interest. I'm sure many of us will be picking your brains before long. Long live the silver surfer.
Cheers

Hi Ted,

Welcome to UKW - Yes, I'm pretty sure you'll get questions on old machinery. people seem to pick up stuff on E-bay for peanuts, (But I'm going carefully with E-bay having heard all the horror stories).

Anyway, hope to see your posts in future.
