Thank you very much for letting me join your forum. I'm from Cornwall but currently have a small garage workshop in the south west of France, Bidart. I love to create things from wood and repair as much as possilble rather than throwing away. My wife thinks I collect rubbish but it's actually gold.
I inherited a Myford ml8 lathe from my grandfather which I've had a lot of fun turning firewood into round firewood. I then bought in addition a Record DML36 for the swivelling headstock to try to turn bigger and a bit smoother but I feel like I'm growing out of that now too. Bigger is better right?
I'm initially here for information on upgrading but I'm seeing now that you all have so much more to offer in experience and advice on all aspects from creativity to being handy. I hope to be able to contribute over time.
