Hegner ebay scoop

Thought I would share todays ebay success. An upgrade to my present small mini lathe. The Hegner hdb200xl.

I understand this lathe is 4ft long so I will have to do a bit of reorganising to fit it in somewhere.

Now to organise the 700 mile round trip to pick it up.

Have to say, to the untrained eye, it looks like a lotta cash for what you get....... I am prepared to be barracked for that!

Have you ever seen or used one ?

I have owned and used one and was happy , its Hegner quality and currently around £1500 to buy

Full variable speed , swivel head , forward and reverse , 1 HP

To but a variable speed kit to convert a lathe comes in at around £450 just for the kit

So I cant see how its not a good buy :wink:

I have arranged to collect the lathe in a few weeks time and will report back once she is home.

Wise words Blister, to my mind £600 odd quid is a good buy for this machine, not to mention the accessories also included.
