Nothing special, but a couple of months ago this was part of the door of our allotment shed which I decided not to rehang after some thieving scrote damaged it to get in. A friend asked me for a headphone stand yesterday and as i didn't have anything thick enough, the door volunteered itself. Horrible building site plywood, it was concrete shuttering originally, but it cleaned up reasonably well on the belt sander.

A very good use of a material that can always be had for nothing. When I was a carpenter doing site work there would be loads of shuttering ply all over the place. Well done Martin. Your friend will be well pleased with the stand.

Martin.
Very good use of that old door, nice grain and knot pattern works well with the subject.

I am back, well sort off, first post with the new computer, this Windows 8.1, is definitely for the young touch and swipe screen user, but not for an old fart like me. :?
All these on screen tiles and things very confusing. Also very unstable system for internet use, (???????) use that to enter which ever evil words you can think of. If I was to type in what I really think, I would be banned from this forum.

Sorry for going off topic.

Take care.

Chris R.

If this has now posted, it was my third attempt, .
