Has anyone seen my trousers?

I've lost a pair of trousers. I wear them regularly. They are not in the washing machine or tumble dryer. They are not in the laundry bag. I'm not wearing them. I don't understand it, this is not a big house there are not many places they can be. If I've left them at a lady's house and driven home without them then it was such an unmemorable evening that I've forgotten about it already.

Actually it was my watch that started this. I can't find my watch. I thought perhaps that I'd taken it off and put it in my trouser pocket.

Has anyone seen my watch? Or my trousers?

Sacrificed the wrong pair to become shop rags?
Noticed any large holes appearing in skirting boards and scratching heard within the walls?
Has a neighbour recently erected a rather stylish looking flag?
Are they on your head? I lose my glasses or pencils all the time, and they're often on my head...
Have you considered seeking help from the public by walking down your street and enquiring where your trousers are to any kind soul that's walking through the neighbourhood?

I misplace my glasses from time to time but they're almost always on the top of my head. Maybe your trousers are there (on top of your head, not mine (I've just checked))?

You've not done something really stupid like put them in the drawer where they belong have you? If so you'll never find them.

They will be in the last place you look though! (Always loved that ridiculous expression - of course they're in the last place you looked, you stop looking when you find them!)

Found them. Yes, that will teach me to not hang them up instead of leaving them lying around where I can find them. They were on a bar hanger with a shirt over them.

No watch in the pocket though :(

I assume you've checked the floor below the hanger for the watch? I hope it wasn't expensive.

You're doing it wrong.

Les Barker:

I CAN'T FIND MY CAMOUFLAGE NET

I don't know where I've put it,
I've looked, but I've not found it yet.
It's somewhere in the garden,
I can't find my camouflage net.

It's a sort of greeny colour;
Very much like the lawn;
It's somewhere in the garden
But I don't know where it's gorn.

You can buy 'em in packs of a dozen;
It's not long since I had a set;
You just put 'em down and they vanish;
I can't find my camouflage net.

I ordered 'em last year from Wakefields';
I had to go back and remind 'em.
They said they hadn't forgotten;
They said they just couldn't find 'em.

It's a good job you don't have to feed 'em;
I suppose they'd make a good pet;
Except they don't come when you call 'em;
I can't find my camouflage net.

I draped one over my Transit;
That's when the problems began;
I'd go back to the shop for another;
I would but I can't find the van.

It's only a bloody tarpaulin,
But I can't find the little green get;
I wish they'd make 'em bright orange;
I can't find my camouflage net.

Steve, you ignored forum advice. Never a good idea.
