I keep seeing facebook adverts from a company called Temu, and was wondering if they are genuine. Does anyone have any experience of them?

Prices are low because the goods are cheap.
The pictures of what you see advertised may not be what you actually get.
Temu is a Communist China-based app and site.
As you shop, Temu monitors your activity on other apps, tracks your notifications and location and changes settings.
Temu gains full access to all your contacts, calendars and photo albums, plus all your social media accounts, chats and texts. In other words, literally everything on your phone.
Just ask yourself why any app needs that level of access..many apps insist on access that they do not need.Just ask yourself why it needs that level of access just to sell cheap tat
From the same country that your phone was made in...was outsourcing so much manufacturing to them, so that the C-suite and shareholders get rich, such a good idea.Temu is a Communist China-based app and site.
Not so, Samsung Galaxies are NOT made in China.Just ask yourself why any app needs that level of access..many apps insist on access that they do not need.
Just because you delete an app, doesn't necessarily mean it is gone.It can still be there hidden.Unless you remove it in developer mode with the phone physically connected to a computer and running the appropriate developer software. Or you are already running as "root".
In the case of idevices ..all bets are off.

Indeed..NOW they are not..but Samsung made phones in PRC up to 2019Not so, Samsung Galaxies are NOT made in China.
I bought a set of router bits from Temu to try the site out. I've bought from "Wish" and the app "Geek" for many years. To date most of the items have been as good as the cash you pay for them. Some have been poor but some have been excellent. I've had my money back within a few days for anything I've had an issue with.I keep seeing facebook adverts from a company called Temu, and was wondering if they are genuine. Some of the electrickery bits look VERY dodgy to me!I've bought stuff from Aliesxpress, Banggood & Temu - the first two are fine and straightforward - Temu has a lot of bait and switch stuff where you see the item at a crazy price, add it to your basket and find that it's only part of the product and the thing originally pictured is way moe money. That said if you have your wits about you then there are what are quite good products at keen prices. I have an order in progress at the moment with the usual delivery date or £5 deal (although I reckon the fiver would be a voucher!)
Proper DIY on YouTube has just done a video on Temu with a few products - one being a min-chainsaw attachment for a drill!! - worth a look to frighten yourself.
I've had the same experience 'up that crazy river'.Jester129, though I believe you must check carefully, my experience is the opposite ie. 90% good! I have many National health dressings on prescription which are clearly marked "Made in China". I have also bought dressings through Temu, which are identical. I suspect that the NHS pays much more. I have bought small electronic items from Temu without problems. I also use Amazon but apart from rapid delivery the items all seem to come from China too. Amazon are also quite neaky in signing you up to Amazon Prime, my wife has just discovered that she was paying £8.99 per month for Amazon Prime and wasn't aware that she had agreed, they refunded her but it is a horrible business practice. So Buyer Beware across all buying platforms!
