Philly gave me a lead on timber supply this morning and I surfed into.

Anyway I got two offers .
Cherry 25mm thick 26.62 cu.ft.
Cherry 50mm thick 33.55 cu.ft

Oak European 21,58 &29.45

Sawn square 4 edges

Minimum quantity load 2 1/2 cu ft. delivery £40 charge.

If anyone in the West Country wants to make up an order 10/40 cu.ft I'm interested in joing a group for an order.

As far as I could make out, the prices offered are per cu/ft or cu/mtr if buying a complete pack, trouble is, they don't say how much timber is in a complete pack. I might ring them tomorrow. I know Timbmet are usually amongst the cheapest

They implied to me on the telephone that a pack was 2 1/2 cubic ft.

If able to share delivery charge on a consignment it makes the cost of timber around 50% cheaper than some outlets.

I recently enquired about the price of 7 cubic ft Hard Maple
and was quoted a price about twice that of the special deal packs.

The special Packs Price is for full packs approx 70 / 80 cu ft

So that makes a pack about 2.5 cubic METRES

Timbmet were really great ...I don't think it took more than 4 mins
to order by phone and it arrived in 4 days. They were quite happy I was only ordering a small amount too (7cuft)

The sawn hard maple was about £35 cu Ft inculding Delivery.

The one time I tried to order a similar amount of timber from Timbmet I was basically sent away with a flea in my ear.

If things have changed I may give them another go. Seems like a good price. How far was the delivery and was it Timbmet Oxford or Rochdale?
