All you could see was the snaked iron and an adjuster that's all I needed, the iron was 100% norris. I'm angry that I didn't get it but I'm sure if I went all in it would of cast a huge amount and been not such a good deal. And I would of been stuck with the rest if the gear.
I surprised others didn't notice it

I've never used one of those site and probably won't, I agree with what's said I saved a load of money, I really thought I was gona win it for 38GBP.

My twin said the same thing, anyways nothing I can do now. Also have too many tools not enough space

I must admit, if I'd spotted that and let it get away I'd feel a tad annoyed with myself too. Especially as he seems to have a Stanley #72 for sale - the very rare chamfer plane. I just hope it wasn't out of the same box!

Is the current one in Soilhull the same as the one in the tool chest? One has a flat front end and the other has a protrusion. And the seller ID is different , although it could be same person.

The thing to remeber with Ebay is that the final winning bid and the highest bidder's maximum are not the same thing. The tool chest went for £82 but it doesn't mean had you made a bid of £83 you would have won. The final winning price is decided by the second highest bidder's maximum bid, ie in this case it was £80, so as long as the winning bidder's maximum was £82 or higher then the final price is £82. The winning bidder's maximum could have been £83 or £300, only they would know.

AFAIK the only situation where you know what a winning bider's maximum is when the difference between the final price and the second highest bid is less than smallest increase in bids.

Thanks for the info on biding. Anyways thought I would make my self feel worse and share my loss owell, anyways I would of kept the A22 so wouldn't of made any money any ways ha!
