Hello UK,

I have been reading the posts here for the past few months and finally decided to join your forum.
I started turning pens about 5 years ago, then gradually with time moved to segmented turning.
The past 3 years I have employed "stacked ring lamination" technique to make square and rectangular bowls with very unique designs.

Giving my work to charity has been a pleasurable experience for me, this was the reason I started tuning.
I look forward to posting in the forums and getting to know it's members.

Cheers,
Mark

Hello and welcome Mark. I shall very much look forward to your photos, as I am bumbling about like an old woman ... no smart comments you lot! ... trying to learn segmenting. I am sure you will find this group helpful and you are yet another brain for me to pick.

My thanks to everyone for all the comments.
I was surprised that my link and picture were caught in a spam trap.
I have a few new bowls I will be posting in the next few days.

it grabs links and pics posted by anyone with less than three posts - so just one more and it will go away.

Welcome Mark, Looking fwd. to your postings they are different than I have seen before. Hope you enjoy your time on here. REgards Boysie.

Thanks again for the welcome I have received here.

I will post a link to the "stacked ring lamination" or (bowl from a board) technique posted on a Canadian woodworking forum.
The tutorial will give you the basic instructions of how I make my bowls.

Hi Mark & welcome.
