A few of the pieces I have made recently.

Bracket clock made in English Oak, finished with Danish Oil.
Weather insruments in a Mahogany case finished with Shellac French Polish.
Television and d.v.d. cabinet, English Oak, finished with Rustin's Plastic Coating, brushed on two coats.

Nice work, Derek. I recognise the cabinet but I don't personally remember seeing either of the other two pieces. Very nice, I'd like to make a small clock myself one day.

All look great, I take it they are for yourself. I wish I had time to make some of my furniture. When I have a customer that turns up they end up buying the thing. I had always, a few years ago made bits and kept them. As I do this for a living about eight years now I have to say to myself that everything is for sale.

No money no bread. No profit no butter. Still saving for jam. :wink:

Here are a few more things that I have made, some in the past year and others more recently.

A pair of occasional tables, Oak dyed medium, finished with Rustin's plastc coating, 3 coats.

A table top display case, made in Iroko, velvet lined, finished in Danish oil.

A writing slope or nknee desk, velvet lined.

Side table made in English Oak with walnt rail and drawer, again finished with Rustin's plastic coating.
Octagonal Drum Table, English Oak, laminated legs, veneer offcuts to the top,brass clawfeet casters, yet again finished with Rustin's plastic coating.

Octagonal Oak drum table, alternate drawers, laminated legs, veneer offcuts to the top. Finished yet again with Rustin's Plastic coating.

Side table in Oak, with Walnut rail and drawer. 20deg. tapered legs, same finish.

Writing slope, velvet lined, leather insert to top, finished with french polish shellac.

mahogany chest with magazine racks. All reclaimed timber.
