Oh yes I am well impressed Dick. They are not the easiest roofs to build, you have made a good job of it though.

The big dilemma was,
Should I build the roof separately and man handle it onto the frame, or put the frame up and build the roof on top in situ?
Well, I went half and half.
Built the roof and did a dry fit on the ground then erected the frame and put the roof frame only onto the uprights.
The roof has a sheet of weatherboard, then that is covered with breathable membrane, then the feather board is put on and lastly the intersection caps. All that was done from a ladder.

Now the number of people who saw it being constructed and wanted one making was unbelievable!
That is till you work out the costing.
To buy in a kit is arrd £1500, then £500 for erecting (Forest)
and to be honest if you add true man hours and material for the work involved you would not be far off that for self build.
Needless to say I have had no takers..but then again at my age do I want to make these for a living?

Mike
