I just knocked this up over the weekend as it was an outstanding job.

I thought while I was waiting for the glue to dry on some of the parts for the oak wardrobes I would crack on with it.

Customer is going to put the finish on I am glad to say. It will hang on the wall with two keyhole slots at the rear and will cover the large fuseboard he has. Sorry no WIP but I was in a rush as you can appreciate.

Thanks Neil. On the top and bottom for the moulding I used a Trend cutter which has a nice profile to it. Not sure what profile it is as it is one I have had for ages. As for the rail and stile cutters these are a Freud set that I have had for a while. I have been using some of the Tornado cutters from Rutlands recently and can say that they seem to be a good quality cutter for the price. I do have a range of cutters and all from different sources. I do however recommend the wealdon cutters as these are far superior to the others for longevity. HTH.

Very nice work,Alan :D

Functional, but still a nice looking piece - don't forget the rest of the photos next time..

You're right Mailee that IS an outstanding job....... as usual.

Rich.

Another nice job, Alan. Do you actually hint to the customer that they might like to finish the pieces themselves? I believe it's not the first time.....!!

I wonder if that might have looked better with three doors rather than 2? But then again, I have no idea of the layout of the fuseboard behind.

Your turn out almost as much stuff as Dan Tovey.........ever thought about going it alone?

Mike

Surprisingly Mike It is the customer who usually want's to put the finish on. I am happy with this as it means I can concentrate on building it which I prefer. He did ask for two doors on it and I think it was the layout of the fuse boards behind there being two of them. It looks like there may be another job coming from him too as he was asking about fitted wardrobes. :D Hmm I shall have a think about that going it alone.
