I've changed my lathe to one with a M33 thread but I wanted to keep my Axminster Precision Chuck. I got in touch with Axminster about an adapter but they said they no longer supply them. RDGTools on the other hand sell a 100mm adapter plate to fit a Myford lathe for £19.50. This meant I had to reduce the recess diameter by 2mm (6 minutes on my Chinese lathe). The screw holes are in the same position and the chuck runs true (for a wood lathe) so I saved a small fortune. So now I have a spare back to give away if someone wants it. It's a fair old lump but still probably less than a fiver to post.
For the fellow thirteen-year-olds out there, the word 'Chucking' has a couple of letters cut off in the first photo.
