nice bowls john, i prefer the cherry one myself even though i am partial to yew, like the scalloped sides too.

I have a preference for the Cherry John, terrific finish, would like to see it 'in the flesh' so to speak to make my mind up about the textured rim.
I can see where you are going with the foot, to me it gels with other of your designs, not too sure about the foot upper inward curve seems a little at odds with the bowl curve.

Thanks gents,
the Cherry bowl inside curve follows the outside curve exactly, It's a little under a quarter of an inch in thickness.
These were an order from swmbo. She wanted a middle sized fruit bowl that won't break in half first time it's picked up,
The other was for a little bowl for small tomatoes.

Hi

Good work.

I like the cherry but also like the way you are breaking with a bit of convention with the Yew bowl by going with the coves on the outside profile.

Keep up the good work.

Lovely , John ...
The Cherry one has a certain 'Greek-Urn' to it, and its a beauty !

The yew is , as you say, 'breaking with convention' in the way the inside differs from the outside... and a break with convention is always good, now and again !

Superb looking finishes on both ... looks like real time and attention has been devoted to achieving that. Great ! 8) 8)
