Where can I but Freud table saw blades and router bits ?

No prices on their website

John

You can buy their saw blades from Toolstation (there's bound to be a branch near you). I think they also still stock some of their router cutters. Apparently, one of the builder's merchants (it's either Jewsons or Travis Perkins?) also stocks their saw blades. You may find that neither stocks the entire Freud range, though. In that case, you could try eBay - a company called Folkstone Fixings offers a reasonable range, with fast delivery.

Is it correct that dado blades are illegal in the UK, it was their dado blade I was specifically looking for?

J

No, Dado sets are perfectly legal. They do evoke a lot of heated debate which you can read if you search the forum. Rutlands currently stock them http://www.rutlands.co.uk/workshop-&-po ... -dado-sets but googling will find other suppliers. Also, other makes are available on Ebay.

Bear in mind that the saw must be designed to use a dado set - many newer European table saws have a short arbor and are unsuitable. Also, they are usable on radial arm saws.
