Popular Woodworking's Dan Farnbach's somewhat idiosyncratic list of 11 basic woodworking tools for furniture makers http://www.popularwoodworking.com/woodw ... king-tools has been discussed elsewhere on this forum, there's a few odd inclusions, and some equally odd omissions.
Whatever your opinion of that list, and I put it down to the pressure of having to find something to write about every day - a bit like sports commentators rambling on, they are very generously making the February 2014 issue available free online:
http://www.popularwoodworking.com/woodw ... -read-free or https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B48U9l ... sp=sharing
The images render a bit oddly in my browser, but it renders perfectly if I download the pdf - Enjoy!
P.S. Don't pay any heed to the tool prices!
