Evening all,

I'm looking at the Fox 850-842 dust extractor, but I want to fit it with a 1 micron cartridge. Does anyone know what size cartridge I'll need please - I can't seem to find the spec anywhere. Charnwood do 370mm and 500mm cartridges and I'm rather hoping that one of these is compatible.

Secondly, I'm only ever going to run one machine at a time connected to this unit (table saw or planer thicknesser for now). I think any extractor will struggle to pull 2500m3/hr through a single 100mm hose, so rather than route all of the air flow through a single port with the other blocked off, am I better off running both ports open to the same machine - one to the factory spec outlet port and one to a secondary home-made take-off? Or am I over-thinking this and I should just take the easy option and connect the one port?

Any thoughts?

TIA.
