Pete, I had a fiddle with the kapex at my local stockist and was impressed. It was very well made and surprisingly big I thought, smooth action, usual Festool quality.

Sadly it will not fit in my little shed and costs a whopping £800.

On another note, I was over your way last week. I have a client at Elsworth. We went for lunch at an indian restaurant in Cambourne....smokey joes or something like that.

I was surprised it took less than two hours to get there from Sheringham (approx 100 miles). Dual carriageway all the way from Barton Mills.

I want one...  :D

I know how you feel, but like Esc says, oh those Festool prices

Gotta say though that layout with the rails is so obvious once you've seen it, it makes you wonder why it hasn't been done before - I suppose it just goes to show there are still plenty of good ideas out there waiting to be had.

Having seen Wakas in use at Steve's bash, its a well designed bit of kit that while it is currently out side of my budget  I would love to have one in the shop. Tool problem, what problem?

I have to confess  I sold my my DW720 and bought the Kapex a couple of months ago. I paid £750 from ITSTOOLMAN via ebay - I think the bidding process gets over the max 20% discount that Festool permit their dealers.

The Kapex is brilliant, well engineered, very repeatable and takes far less room than the DW720 although the capacity is simular.
