Hi all......
I've decided to have a bit of a clear-out and move around in my shed as i'm starting to get a bit squeezed for space. And in doing so have decided to let my very old and trusty workbench go... (it will be replaced by a smaller and slimmer one).
here's a couple of pics....
it measures approx 8ft long X 3ft wide X 3ft high
comes complete with a Record 53E vice and a handy storage drawer too
it is VERY VERY heavy. when it's in it's 'uncluttered' state (i.e. empty) if i stand at one end i can just about lift two legs off the floor.....
when i first took delivery of it, it came in the back of a Transit van (i was told it was put in the van using a fork-truck..!). and it took 3 of us to trundle it down the lawn on an old set of sack trucks to the shed.
as you can see it's well used, so don't expect a nice shiny new thing-a-ma-jig
Not too sure what it's made from but suspect it's Deal
as you can see i've got my lathe bolted to it, and when i've done the odd bit of off-centre turning there's no shake wobble or bench jumping across the floor..... it's that heavy.
i want £150 for it which will go towards my next bit of kit
whoever decides to buy it, you'll need to come with a BIG mate (to help lift it) and a BIG van to put it in.
any interested parties just let me know, either post back here or PM me.
