No, but if you were to offer me over £500 I could possibly be tempted......

Mine was bought to use, not to put in a glass case. I really do find this collecting thing a bit daft. Took me a long time to find a nice one at a reasonable price - nowhere near the price that's been offered for the one on ebay.

Cheers

There is a Record version of the same thing (I think) for £110 in PFT at the moment, saw it on Saturday

edit:...and I should add it's complete and in pristine condition :) - Rob

Mmmmmmmm!
At that price I suppose I had better get a few of mine sorted out and on the way! :p
One guy has been selling all the parts separately and getting silly money for them, a box of cutters made over £45 recently! I think it worked out about £400 for the whole kit of parts.
I have redone the label artwork for the 55 cutters if anyone on here would like some (free!)
Cheers all,
Martin

Record don't DO the same thing as a Stanley #55; the Record #405 is equivalent to a Stanley #45.

BB - if you read what I said carefully, I said 'I think' which means that I'm not sure...so ta for the clarification :) - Rob

That Record #405 in PFT looks very nice and in good condition. Compared to the price of a new Clifton equivalent, a good buy, although you can pick them up much cheaper if you are happy with one in less good condition.

Cheers

Just looking for an A4 envelope and they are on the way.

The interesting thing about all the 45's, 55's and 405's that are on the 'Bay is the widely differing spec's of the items; few are REALLY complete, usually missing the slitting cutter or the tower section.
Some don't even have the centre skate and still make good money.
I can see why the 'proper' ones make the money as it can be expensive making up the missing bits.

I have one perfect example for myself and about three other complete ones and several almost there units that I will get the bits for as and when, just gotta be patient and always get to the bottom of boxes :p
Regards,
Martin
