I have a number of their chisels and think they are some of the best ever made. Very fine steel, band used to sell for literally pennys as people didn’t seem to know the brand. I also like Palm Tree.
A lovely bit of 'tool nostalgia'. I remember the Footprint brand . I still have a few augers made by them. Their stuff was perfectly adequate but was never quite as refined, or expensive , as their competitors.
Remember this building down the bottom end of Sheffield. I'm in total agreement about the steel quality. Amazing but tends to rust. Best known for there adjustable wrenches(footprints) nowhere near as ubiquitous as they once were.
