Ordered a foot switch for my Hegner the other day. It arrived this morning, so off I went to set it up and give it a try, what a difference it makes not having to take your hands off the work piece to switch on and off.
Very pleased and all things considered not a bad price.

Well done Waka ,next on the list I keep putting off getting one and I could probably need it more than most .

Good point Geoff, but by putting a block under the foot switch it would mean that one of your legs would be bent during operation, whereas I like both legs straight.
I guess we need to remember that when not in use the saw is switched off at the saw, thereby stopping foot operation.
I'll see how get on with a lengthy bit of scrolling, at the moment only given it a little test run.
