I used to pull the wings off when I was a kid but I realised that was cruel, so now I just stick their feet to a wall.

"I used to pull the wings off when I was a kid but I realised that was cruel" wouldn't they be called "Walks" then? 9-)

Hmm, that might just give me something to do. I got the pattern for the fly from a Russian site and thought it was a ripoff from a Woodcraft kit, but looking around their site, I can't see that one. I'll have to brush up on my Russian and see if someone made a dragonfly pattern.

wouldn't they be called "Walks" then?

Hohoho. :)

Hi Martin,

Dragonfly is Russian is:

Стрекоза

or

Strekoza

Asked a Russian friend :)

Cheers,

Jon.

Cheers, Jon. I'm on VK, the Russian facebook equivalent, for a few hours everyday with my friends. Can't deny I am lazy at learning Russian, as they all speak decent English.

Inspired by the OP's fly, I grabbed a Sketchup file from one of the CNC sites, exported all the pieces into Photoshop and resized the patterns.

I'll gladly post the plans I butchered, providing Admin are happy that I'm not infringing any copyright thingies. It wasn't my plan to begin with, y'see.

Nice fly, Naz, or is it a bee? I searched the Woodcraft kits and can't find one the same so maybe someone made their own. There's loads of patterns around for these types of kits.

Jon, PM me your email address and I'll send you the plans for both.

Cheers Martin :)

Very much appreciated :) I'll get an 8'x4' sheet ordered as i guess there will be many mistakes made ;)
