Visited the Florida State Fair Wed - there was a bandsaw box on display that impressed me - it was about 12" long. It could be scaled down to scrollsaw size I am sure.
Also a coat and hat board/shelf made in part with a scroll saw.

Great piccies of the fair Brian :) , and what that lass can do with a few Balloons! I haven't really used any Spiral blades other than a test cut, I take it they used a Spiral blade on the coat/hat shelf?

I would have thought so. There was only a sales woman present so I didn't speak about scroll sawing, and never thought to look at the saw, more interested in sneeking a pic of the wares to give UK scrollers food for thought.

I have used spiral blades, they do require a different technique - but it is just that different not more difficult.

He has certainly got the hang of it.
What I particularly liked about the one above was how he had 'joined' the boxes together, so to speak and how he had done the saw cuts as one continuous cut and made a feature out of it.

Isn't the internet wonderful, when by just searching on a name you can see his work that is 4500 miles away.
