Jacob, I see what you mean, sort-of, but it's a bit hit-miss, and it depends on the wind being even, and you *might* not choose the board from the middle (although I agree that's the most likely scenario).....

Yep! that's how it is done! Like all skills, you need plenty of practice makes perfect. Listen to this man!
Looking logically, why has the presenter got a 12" planer/jointer and a 18" thicknesser, and as for those pad, block thingies I can't see how you have the control over the workpiece, also, you NEVER, EVER, pass you're hands over the cutter like that! Regards Rodders
