Well I have not been idle even if I heven't posted much recently. I have been making a couple of benches and also a fish tanks stand to accomodate two tanks. My customer is going to apply the finish to this one I am glad to say.

Got a few doors to fit next so forge ahead as usual. :D

Wow, that will be some weight with two tanks installed, hope your joint making and design is spot on Mailee

Hope their floor is suitably reinforced too.......

Cheers, Paul. :D

Hey Mailee,

That looks good - shame your back on the softwood now! :)
Any Hardwood projects on the horizon?

Cheers
David

Well their floor is concrete I am happy to say as just the lower tank will weigh in at 137 kilos! Luckily the upper tank is much smaller too so should take the strain well enough. All of the framework is M&Ts including cross bracing below each shelf which are all 4x2s. Considering most commercially available tank stands are made of veneered chipboard or MDF I think this may be overkill but better to be safe than sorry I think. hope to get some pictures once it is set up with the tanks. No afraid not David no hardwood projects on the horizon as of yet. :(
