Hi All

I'm building a garden room outside, as a second living room.
The exterior will be clad is Canadian red cedar and I'm currently reviewing the options to treat the wood.

I've narrowed down the preference's to
Sikkens Cetol WF771 in light oak (this seems to bring out the colour of the cedar really nicley)
Osmo oil (Again a nice finish but much more of a "Wet look" which im not over keen on.)

Any thoughts out there between the two..?

I can't help thinking anything you anything you apply won't last as long as the shingles
but cetol is a great product. Americans also paint them. a product called seasonite allows them to age.
white cedar is mostly left as it silvers nicely

A lot of people seem to be switching from Osmo to textrol HES.
I haven't tried it myself yet
