Fine hand work - a forgotten secret

Just received this week from Amazon, two of Charles Hayward's classic books from the 1940/50's. I can see now where I need to improve, so I'm off to me tailors for a weskit collar and tie! Of an age where if thus prompted, I can actually recall previously forgotten sartorial craftsmen - and not just round the back of the funeral director's either!
