When I first got into turning I thought free wood was a complete myth. That living in the heart of suburbia, I'd never get access to a friendly tree surgeon or other source of wood and I was doomed to buying wood for the rest of my hobby career.

Well I'm pleased to say that I was WRONG.

I've been offered some Fig. It's only 4" in diameter but I thought it might be nice for practice.

But does it turn well?

it turns lovely tom its hard to dry but possible.
