Not been on here for a while but I came by these the other day and thought they may be of interest.
I can't find any info on the small brass backed " Millar & Byers" saw so if any on has any info that would be good.
Hopefully they'll clean up okay, more to follow.

On your Millar and Byers saw: BSSM suggests they were probably a dealer, as there's no evidence of them as a maker and BPM has a plane with the same name on. Probably 1930s.

So made by someone else and just branded by them then?
I like the way they've styled their logo to look identical to the Disston one.
The handle has cracked on that one at some point in the past and been repaired with a big screw through the top, not very pretty, and the joint still moves. Looks like a good candidate to waste to much time on attempting to repair.
The whole lot with a selection of wooden molding planes, metal planes and a box of chisel's cost me £30.00 not cheap as chips but I see that the brass backed Disston tennon saw's some times go for a few ££ so shouldn't be out of pocket not that that's really point.

"OEM" branding is nothing new - and the range of tools was so wide that no single manufacturer could specialise in everything anyway, so there was always a lot of subcontracting/factoring/branding in the tool trade.

Your collection all look like potentially good saws, underneath the superficial crud.

To encourage you, this is one I frequently use - though it looked more like yours when I got it.
