I need to make up some more featherboards.

They work OK in MDF with bandsawn slots for the fingers, but I'm not sure I've made them as well as I might.
I know it's going to vary depending on the pressure I want to apply, length of featherboard, thickness of stock, material used, etc. The uses will be both router table and bandsaw.

So, rather than busking it, I thought I might be more scientific, slightly.

So, please tell me:
Code:
Dims:(HxWxL) Material No.fings Fing-angle How Used: H/V/Both "Goodness": marks/10

Add any comments you might want to make, too. Let's see if any common themes come out!

Regards,

E.

For me, 30 degrees (or 60 if looking at it the other way) , about 65 mm long, bandsaw kerf every 3mm. Overall width varies. Usually 18mm ply. Overall width varies. Works for most things I do.
