Indeed it is.
To be honest although I admire it as a piece of craftsmanship, on an artstic level it does nothing for me - I just don't like it.

A lot of his work seems to have this 'lattice' type arrangement of pieces which is very clever, but as you say Pete, probably an aquired taste...I'm not sure that it does a great deal for me at that level, you can't help but admire it though as a piece of craftsmanship - Rob

I have just looked through his web site. I am stunned by his craftsmanship but the designs are just not to my taste.

They look like museum pieces to me.

Mick - pretty much all his big stuff goes straight into collections of one sort or another. My old boss was taught by him at Parnham where he was simply referred to as 'God', but I do agree with you on his designs, some I like and some don't do a lot for me. His book 'Cutting Edge Cabinetmaking' is well worth getting...there's some basic stuff in there as well as his methods used to create some of the bigger pieces but having read it a couple of times, I still don't know how he does it :? - Rob

I did notice the irony of an article saying how great Dragon Saw were and the quality of their M42 blades
