I've noticed various posts about saw blades always seem to mention OEM options, and a couple of 3rd party suppliers, but Bennetts never come up...

I've had nothing but good experiences with their blades and tooling (everything from 150mm circulars for weinig multi-rip spindles, to 30+ft blades for the automatic resaws, 400mm RAS blades and all points inbetween), so part of me suspects that as their primary focus is on industrial operations, the web-sales is a sideline and they simply lack the exposure in other markets, or am I missing something?

You've just reminded me I need to order a new blade for my crosscut, will give them a try
Do you know if they sharpen blades as well

Just had a look, worth knowing about. Probably overlooked as you say (in the one-off v small volume end). Ideally we need a big test / shoot-out. But none of us has the time or cash to buy and try all the alternatives - we all tend to rely a lot on recommendation and our own experiences. I wish there was a reliable way of knowing how they really compare.

They do, In theory ernest bennett (sheffield) will collect and deliver blades weekly within 90 miles as part of the service and will arrange a courier from further afield if you can't go to the trade counter... worth seeing if you could take advantage of that (I have a suspicion that's aimed at high volume customers, but they may well be willing to do it for anyone).

Never had dealings with darlington... not sure if it's the same company
