Building a bench. I have 2 parts to the top. Currently about 35cm x 4.5 cm x about 7 ft (par4x2) glued up. I'd like to get them planed and squared before i glue them both together. Anyone near there that can provide the service? I can bring them round at your convenience and I don't expect to get it done for free. Please let me know if it might interest you or you think you might be able to help. As I say I dont expect to get it done for free!
Cheers. :D

If your plans can accommodate losing 5 cm on each piece then pm me. No problem putting them over the planer and though the thicknesser With pieces that big it is difficult to plane the edges for jointing on the machine because they are too heavy to square on the planer, however I have a way to do it with the festool track saw and a quick touch up with a hand plane. I wouldn't want any money, it would be my chance to give back some of the generosity I've received on this forum.
PM me
Paddy

Paddy, you're a Legend.
Just got home from work and checked, the above size is with 2 extra lengths that I havent glued on yet. (my little clamps could ony fit 6 lengths at a time) I was planning on gluing 1 to each part, as it stands, I can glue them after and hand plane those bits. Actual width at the moment is 10 3/4"
I'll pm you a bit later this evening if thats ok. Gotta go and pick my lad up from school.
Thanks again!

Also! Just wanted to add (sorry, I was on the hurry up earlier). Many thanks to both Robin and Adam for trying to help. Much appreciated! :D

Just wanted to say a Massive Thank You! to Paddy for taking the time out of his working day and thicknessing my bench top. You've saved me hours of time trying to plane down my messy glue up.
Was lovely to meet you and when you had more pressing matters to attend too as well.
You Sir are a Gentleman and a thoroughly nice fella to boot. :D
