I hope that someone out there can help me. Do you know what the thread is on a normal lamp fitting is. I know that the outside diameter is ½ in (nominal), but what thread? I am looking to buy the correct die to thread steel tube to take light fittings. Yes I know that I will need them PAT tested when I have wired them up, another nonsense in my opinion as I have wired lamps and plugs for over 40 years!
