As a for instance, this Makita set is £725 on their ebay store but £717 on their normal web store. The £60 saving still gets you £52 off. Do check before you buy and naturally also check that things are not just cheaper elsewhere.

I've had a fair few bits from FFX on the 15 or 20% deals that Ebay offer and that offer and FFX have been the best place to get that item at the time.

You can also just spend £400 and get the max discount and then spend another £400 and get it again. The invoice from FFX will show the full price, not the discounted one.

I did not use this offer to purchase 4 1250mm Bessey Revo clamps and 4x 800mm revo clamps for £406. No sir. £450 on their own website and that or more elsewhere.

ffx are like dfs - they always have a sale on, or a coupon offer, etc. but, ultimately, at any given time, the price with all this months offers is exactly the same as their price last month, with all last months offers.

its like when people say they got it in the halfords sale... i mean what unlucky person ever buys a tool box that ISN'T in the halfords sale?

It's not an FFX coupon its an ebay coupon, and if the price is still cheaper than anywhere else you can get the exact same item unlike DFS, I don't get the issue. Its not like every other retailer raises their prices to make FFX look more enticing.

I, obviously, I hope, don't care what you do with your money (well, I'd hope you're not making donations to terrorists, or buying child ****, but you get my point!)

I just know that, when I've watched those ffx deals closely before, even the eBay "we've got a sale on" things must be in conjunction with the retailer as the ffx price on eBay magically increases when the eBay 10% token activates. And / or their previous offer (that would give you the same discount in a different way) ends. So, yeah, the price remains constant month on month, just the selection of offers needed to achieve that price changes.

I can't be bothered to find the thread now but close to the beginning of the year I was trying to buy a £250 Triton router and this was when I noticed this going on.

Again, I don't mind what you do, I just feel that the whole ffx sale / discount code / eBay ffx sale thing is, well, slightly on the dishonest side when you actually realise what they are doing, so would like to mention it.

If you feel my information is inaccurate, that's absolutely fine. I don't care *that* much about any of it, and if you're happy then that's a good thing.

I am tempted to purchase a new fein multi tool 18v comes out at £84 without battery with ffx, ITS are not far behind with the price,

Here comes the twist i already have a 12v fein with good batteries , the bare 12v fein multi tool is around £127.50.

Forgot to say my 12v fein has packed up and dont really want to spend on repairs.

Anyone know where a 12v fein multitool any cheaper can be found.

Clive.

It’s no good, I’ve looked on the FFX ebay shop, they just don’t have a Festool domino for my budget of £50 🤣

I've little doubt that they might put their price up a little on ebay (or are already higher due to ebay fees and paypal fees) when they know ebay are putting out a 15 or 20% discount code as it means they can make a bit more money at no loss to anyone. But the point remains that if the price you get after the ebay code is cheaper than anywhere else on the internet then the discount is valid, if not as much as it might have been had you just had a magic 15% discount that FFX were not aware of. If anyone can find the 1250 and 800 quad packs of revo clamps (which I was actually already after) for less than I paid I'd gladly like to see it. I was actually silly and bought both in one order meaning I left about £10 on the table which I would have saved had I done it in 2 separate orders.

FFX do regularly "discount" their own stuff outside of the ebay codes and that is almost certainly the DFS style of "discount".

For anyone interested I'll wait until this offer is done for a week or so and try to remember to make a list of what I've paid for stuff before thanks to these offers and the price its available when there is no offer. An offer is after all only valid if you actually save money on the item compared to the week before.

Likely they don't have many at all anyway. Dominos are in short supply and have been for a while.
