Have to agree, wish mine was as neat in the inside, I just threw my small hand tools in , one day I 'll get it done, but paying work comes first though.

I wonder if it's what ended up in America with Dutch immigrants when they came to settle ?
It'd be interesting to do a bit or research on some of the Dutch websites or their museum sites about their historic tools and chests.

We had a Dutch picture framing tutor at colege and he inherited a huge number of wooden planes from his grandfather who was a town joiner, so I wouldn't be surprised if the town based joiners had larger and more elaborate chests, much like the English.
In rural Denmark sophisticated historic joiners tools seem to be non-existent and I would imagine that rural Dutch joiners had an equally sized set of tools to the Danish.
