Hello Ed. A bit late in the day but I'd like to add my twopenneth. I've had the Camvac CV336-2-250 for about 4 years. I've connected it to a 2 1/2" six gate system (also from Camvac). It coped quite well with most chores and especially well with my planer. I've just finished an upgrade to the system that incorporates a 'Dust Deputy' cyclone, an inlet modification to the Camvac (yours will already be so equipped) and a 4 gate distribution box made from ply and copied from an article in an American publication on dust control whose title I can't recall at present but will dig it out if you're interested. The end result is great, if a little noisy. Most of the stuff I read before starting the project said that a 2 1/2" system was not a good idea but it works extremely well in my smallish (8' x 13') workshop. The machines connected are: lathe, table saw, band saw, 6" planer, thicknesser, table router, bench sander and random orbital, obviously not at the same time Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jim
